A large outlet for me is a passion that I picked up during my time at University – Letterpress printing. I love the analogue nature of traditional typesetting, forcing myself to plan a layout well ahead of time, and working with a finite supply of materials. I have a collection of seven industrial presses, on which I create a range of artwork from a collection of vintage movable type.
My work has been featured in several publications and exhibition, with some examples being held in the Yale University private collection. In 2016 I was invited to be Artist in Residence at Ditchling Museum of Art and Craft, and was given the rare privilege of printing on Eric Gill’s historic Stanhope printing press.
